Reasonable maintenance for drier of a hot mix asphalt mixing plant should follow the steps below.
(1) When the asphalt mixing plant is not in operation, the aggregate shall not remain in the drying cylinder. At the end of each working day, the plant should be run to clean the aggregate in the drying cylinder. When the aggregate in the cylinder is removed, the burner should be turned off and the cylinder idling for about 30 minutes to minimize its deformation or impact on the linear operation of the machine.
(2) The drying drum support ring should be evenly mounted on all the backup rolls. Adjustments should be made when the bearing is worn and misaligned.
(3) Regularly check the alignment of the cylinders. First loosen the thrust roller and check the extent to which the cylinder moves within the length of the slot on the bracket. Then start the dryer. If the cylinder moves back and forth, check that the integrity of all the support rollers is adjusted. If the support roller has been adjusted vertically and the drum is gradually moved towards the feed end, the thrust roller is temporarily offset back and forth (with the drying drum at the correct working angle) until the correct adjustment is reached. If the cylinder gradually moves toward the discharge end, the thrust roller is adjusted from the opposite direction.
(4) If the hot mix asphalt plant burner roller track is in contact with only one of the two thrust rollers, the gap members may be filled under the support roller support until they can uniformly press the entire support ring surface width.
(5) The position of the specified cylinder of the asphalt mixing plant burner shall be maintained by the thrust roller, but shall not be used to compensate for misalignment errors.
(6) If a chain drive is installed, a small amount of 8 lubricants should be added. The method of adjusting the tension of the chain is to adjust it with the adjusting screw on the bracket.
