Concrete pump truck is a kind of engineering machinery specialized in conveying concrete from the concrete mixer truck to the designated location at the construction site. It combines pumping technology and automobile chassis with flexibility and high efficiency, and is widely used in construction, bridges, tunnels and other engineering projects. The length of the pump boom is usually a major feature of concrete pump trucks, with common pump boom lengths ranging from 15 meters to 60 meters. According to the extension of the pump boom, concrete pump trucks can be divided into two types: fixed boom and retractable boom. Fixed booms are generally shorter and suitable for smaller construction sites, while retractable booms are able to operate flexibly over a larger area and are suitable for high-rise buildings or large-scale projects.
The length of the concrete pump truck usually has 7 specifications, which are 21 meters, 24 meters, 28 meters, 30 meters, 33 meters, 35 meters and 38 meters. The specific length will be designed according to different requirements such as chassis size, mixer efficiency and boom length. Take 33m concrete pump truck as an example, if other configurations remain unchanged, a 35m concrete pump truck can be launched by optimizing the design of the boom and adjusting the overall layout. In addition, according to the height of the boom, concrete pump trucks can be categorized into short boom, long boom and ultra-long boom. Among them, the boom length of 13 to 28 meters belongs to the short boom, 31 to 47 meters is the long boom, and 51 to 62 meters is the ultra-long boom. The most common types of concrete pump trucks in the current market are short boom and long boom.
According to the size of the conveying capacity, the concrete pump truck can also be divided into three types. Small concrete pump trucks have a theoretical delivery capacity of 44 to 87 m3/hour, medium-sized 90 to 130 m3/hour, and large-sized 150 to 204 m3/hour.
Pumping pressure is an important parameter to measure the performance of concrete pump trucks, which can be categorized into four types according to the pressure: low pressure (2.5 to 5.0 MPa), medium pressure (6.1 to 8.5 MPa), high pressure (10.0 to 18.0 MPa) and ultra-high pressure (22.0 MPa).
In short, the length and design of concrete pump trucks are based on their application requirements and project characteristics, thus ensuring their efficiency and flexibility in various construction environments. When choosing a concrete pump truck, it is crucial to consider its overall length, pump arm length and working range.
