The mobile ready mix concrete plant has a short delivery distance, which enhances the economical properties of the plant. By layout methods, concrete plants can be divided into three types: vertical type, horizontal type and mobile type. A vertical plant lifts raw materials only once and the materials fall down by their own gravity. Its advantages include high efficiency, small flooring area and advanced control, but in comparison to a mobile ready mix concrete plant, a vertical plant has a complicated design, high investment and big height.
Featured by a compact design, a mobile ready mix concrete plant has all devices, including the feeding, storage, scaling, mixing and discharging systems combined on a base. This enables the plant to move freely to construction sites. Horizontal concrete plants have raw materials lifted twice (first to storage hoppers and then to the mixer). In spite of simple structure and low cost, such a plant is less efficient than a mobile plant.
Generally speaking, vertical plants are suitable for construction sites in large cities with spacial room, sufficient raw material supply and convenient transportation, horizontal plants for construction sites in smaller cities far away from raw materials, and mobile ready mix concrete plants for medium and small sized projects with poor transportation conditions for concrete mixer trucks, for it’s flexible for them to transfer from one place to another.
