Are ordinary and drum mobile concrete batching plants the same

When we speak of mobile concrete batching plants, we usually refer to plants with modular units pulled by a trailer. As a matter of fact, there are two types of mobile batching plants, ordinary pants and drum mobile plants. The two have similar structures, the main difference lies in the type of concrete mixer.

An ordinary mobile batching plant is also called a compulsive mobile plant, for it’s equipped with a JS series twin shaft compulsive concrete mixer which is composed of feeding device, mixing device, water supply device, unloading device, oil supply device, and electrical control system. Models matching mobile plants include JS500, JS750, JS1000 and JS1500. A forced mixer can mix ordinary concrete, lightweight concrete and mortar, suitable for the concrete laboratory of scientific research departments, construction units, commercial concrete mixing plants, concrete and cement products industries, construction education and other units.

A drum mobile concrete batching plant, on the other hand, is equipped with a JZM concrete mixer. The JZ series are all self-falling concrete mixers, mixing in forward rotation and discharging in reverse. JZM stands for friction transmission. The models of JZM concrete mixers are JZM350 mobile, JZM500 mobile and JZM750 fixed. A drum mixer is installed on the mixer platform, and various metering devices are installed on the top of it. The amounts of cement, water, plasticizer, etc. are weighed according to the proportions. After the weighing is completed, they are discharged into the mixer and the weighed aggregates Stir together. The roller mobile mixing station is equipped with an aggregate batching device and a belt conveyor for conveying sand and stone aggregates. The head and bracket of the belt conveyor are set up on the aggregate storage, and the aggregate pre-feeding hopper (stores the mixed and weighed aggregate). They discharge the aggregate weighed in proportion to the concrete mixer.

The unloading height of drum mobile concrete batching plants is relatively low. Generally, the unloading adopts a high position of the whole station, which has a certain drop from the concrete tanker. And the efficiency of a drum plant is lower than compulsive ones. However, as a type of mobile concrete batching plant mini, drum plants are even more popular in various small construction sites.
