Concrete Mixer Truck Driving Tips from Site to Unloading

1. Checking whether all components are normal

It would be frustrating to have your concrete mixer truck failing on halfway with a full tank of concrete. Therefore, it’s crucial to make sure that the concrete truck is at a super state before you get it loaded.

After get the truck started, have the tank rotating at a low speed and check whether the tire is seamless and with full pressure. 2. Then check whether lamps are at right angles. It’s worth mentioning that the waist lamps must cover weak tire edges which are likely to get damaged by sharp steel parts at construction sites.

Wipe the rear-view mirrors and window glasses completely. Most construction sites are featured by complexly uneven roads and poor light, and you must make sure you are able to catch sight of any possible dangers!

Check whether there are sufficient water in the water tank and whether there are water reducing agents. There might be a thousand reasons causing dryness of concrete, in which case you must add water in time. In case of lack of water, water reducing agents are your last choice, or else the concrete would get solidified inside the tank, making the whole mobile concrete mixer truck a pile of metal waste!

3. Make sure that the mixing tank is at off state before starting up the mixer truck. If the mixing tank is at the rotating state of a high speed, its sudden rotation brings about a huge force that will damages the speed reducer.

4. Careful Cleaning of the Truck

Have the mixing tank rotate reversely to get rid of rain water and leaves that may get into the truck during parking.

 

And wash the feeding hopper after getting loaded, then close the air entrance of the water tank and open the air outlet to have the air out. Check the tires again, making sure that they are clean and safe.
