How Does A Concrete Boom Pump Truck Work

The working principle of the concrete boom pump truck is mainly to squeeze the rubber hose through the rolling of the rollers, and utilize this squeezing effect to make the rubber hose have the ability to suck in and output concrete, so as to realize the delivery of concrete. Specifically, the drive shaft will drive the roller frame and rollers to rotate, constantly squeezing the rubber hose. At the same time, the vacuum suction port is connected to the vacuum pump, which continuously pumps air to form a negative pressure in the pump body, which helps the suction of concrete. The role of the support roller is to support and assist the extruded hose to quickly return to its original shape, further enhancing the performance of concrete inhalation.

The following are the basic operation steps of concrete boom pump truck:

1, Start-up and preparation:

- Turn on the power of the concrete boom pump truck by standing up the voltage switch.

- Pull on the handbrake, modulate the gear handle to neutral position (pumping position), and then start the PTO power engine.

- Set the switch button to pumping position until the indicator light comes on and then let go, the switch will automatically return to the position.

- Hang the pumping gear, put the handle to the designated gear position (such as 8th gear). After hanging up the gear, let the hydraulic system warm up for a few minutes before operating the outriggers, boom, pumping, etc.

2, Outrigger operation:

- Before operating the outrigger, clear the obstacles around the outrigger.

- Modulate the control status button to the near control position.

- On the left and right sides of the concrete boom pump truck, there is a set of outrigger operating valves to control the spreading, expansion and lifting of the outriggers. Press the button switch on the top of the operating valve downward, and then press or press the corresponding outrigger operating handle to control the movement of the outriggers.

- Spread the outriggers to the ground, pay attention to the outriggers landing on the ground on the ground pads, so as to make the concrete boom pump truck more stable.

- Check the level of the vehicle body and keep it balanced on the ground to prevent it from tipping over.

- Raise the outriggers so that the wheels are leveled off the ground.

3, Boom operation:

- Before operating the boom, switch the control status button modulation to remote control position.

- Use the wireless remote control, press the start button, and then press it again every 2~3 seconds. When you hear the horn sound (indicating that the remote control is connected to the system of the pump), you can start to operate the boom.

- Boom start: first unfold the first section of the boom to about 85° or so, then unfold the other booms. Pay attention to the order of boom deployment, usually you need to deploy the first section of boom first, and then the next section of boom.

- Rotate: move the rotate button, you can swing the fabric left and right to realize 360° rotating fabric.

- Pumping: the remote control presses the pumping button (button up is positive pumping, down is reverse pumping), the piston starts to move and the pumping process starts. If you break the button to the center after the work, it will stop pumping.

4, Pumping operation:

- Before starting to pump the concrete material, first pump a small amount of water and mortar, lubricate the pipeline.

- After the hopper is filled with sufficient concrete material, start the remote control or the “pumping” button on the panel of the electric control cabinet to start the automatic pumping operation.

- If you need to move the arm when pumping, you should use the slow gear to operate the arm.

- When the oil temperature of the hydraulic oil tank reaches the set value, start the cooling fan.

- At the end of the cloth, press the pumping stop button and the pumping action stops. After stopping the machine, put the mixing switch and cleaning switch in the stop position.

5, Cleaning and finishing:

- After the pumping is finished, reverse the pumping action to discharge the concrete material in the concrete cylinder, release the residual material in the hopper, and rinse the hopper with water.

- Remove the hopper outlet elbow, clean it and re-install it.

- Fill the hopper with water, fill the elbow with sponge balls, use automatic pumping to clean, or use the reverse pumping operation to suck the sponge balls into the elbow for cleaning.

- After cleaning, contract the boom to the position when traveling, in the reverse order of unfolding. Then close and lock the outriggers, ready to transfer the site.

6, Change of traveling state:

- After the job is completed and cleaned, if the ambient temperature is below freezing, drain the water left in the water tank and system.

- Gather and lock the fabric arm, outriggers and other parts in place.

- Switch the transfer case from “working” to “traveling” state, ready to transfer the pump truck to the next site.
