Reasons for failures of load cells for fully automatic concrete batching plant mobile and stationary include cell damage, short circuit, signal transmission failure and junction box failure. The symptom of the failures is that the figure stays on zero whether there are materials in the load or not.
The sensor is damaged
Check the voltage value of the sensor output signal line in two cases: when there is no material and when there are materials. If the two values are the same, the sensor has been damaged. If the two values are significantly different, the sensor is working normally. According to the following figure to detect the output signal of the sensor, the working principle and limit method of different brands of sensors are roughly the same.
There is a short circuit
If the possibility of damages in the sensor is ruled out, you can check whether there is any open circuit in the line. The method is to look along the line of the sensor to see if the line is broken or cut.
Signal transmission failure
Excluding the above two reasons, we will finally check the signal transmitter. The detection method is basically the same as that of the sensor. Check whether the output signal has a voltage signal and whether its value changes when the weight changes.
The junction box is not in good contact
This is mainly caused by the failure to connect the wire ends firmly when wiring.
The load sensor serves as a key unit for both concrete batching plant mobile and stationary, and it’s crucial to solve the problems immediately in case of its failures.
