1.3 Injury Risk Avoiding
1. Protective clothes and tools
A. Operators of concrete batching and mixing plants should prepare protective clothes and tools as below:
Safety helmet
Safety shoes
Safety glasses, eye-protection covers or facial masks
Thick gloves
Ear protectors
Reflecting clothes
Rainproof clothes
Mouth masks or filtration masks
B. Please wear all necessary protective clothes and articles. Do not rely on luck!
C. No wearing of loose clothes, ornaments or other small things that might hook operating parts of the plant.
D. The operator must be concentrated on operating task. No listening to music should be allowed.
2. Noise-proof Measures
A. Long term exposure to strong noise may lead to damage or loss of auditory sense of humans.
B. Hearing protectors like ear plugs can resist effectively against harmful noises.
1.4 Plant Protection
1.4.1 Notices prior to starting a plant
1. Check whether huge parts of a concrete mixing plant are in right locations and whether all the small parts are well in right states.
2. All connecting parts, like pins and bolts etc., must connect each other firmly without loosened parts. Bolts must be properly tightened with loose prevention measures and pins must be treated with sliding prevention measures.
3. Water and gas supply pipelines must be completely sealed and beautifully arranged.
4. Connecting parts (feeding mouths of screw conveyors and concrete mixing machines, for example) of delivery systems for aggregates and powders must be sealed completely.
5. The center of the belt conveyor frame must be straight and its sides be paralleled. Supporting rollers and rolling drums must be able to rotate freely. The cleaner for the belt should be of even contact with the belt and rotate flexibly. The belt should be neither too tight nor too loose. The drum axis must be horizontal and parallel to each other.
6. Powder silos should be firmly connected to necessary parts, and the error between the axis of the silo bin and the ground is not greater than 2‰.
7. The circuit should be routed correctly and the wiring must be secure. The circuit should be so rightly arranged that it will not be damaged by concrete mixer trucks or material feeding machines. The electrical insulation should be reliable, and the resistance of the mixing station to ground should be kept below 4 ohms.
8. Lubricate necessary parts.
9. The concrete batching plant should be clean and new without paint peelings.
10. Debug the system of the plant.
1.4.2 Notices on Starting and Operating Plants
1. Please stick strictly to rules in Chapter Three of this Instruction Manual to check and operate the plant before and during each production task.
2. Please cease running the plant in thundering days, which might damage the plant. Both the plant system and electricity power should be powered off completely.
1.4.3 Maintenance after Working
1. Please follow rules in Chapter Three of this Instruction Manual to keep a regular maintenance for the plant.
2. In case of rest for over seven days, all measuring hoppers, mixers and outlet hoppers must be cleaned thoroughly. Otherwise materials or concrete might get solidified onto these components.
