Skill characteristics of plug valve in portable asphalt mixing plant

The plug valve is a kind of closing or plunger-shaped rotary valve. By rotating 90 degrees, the passage opening on the plug is the same as or separated from the passage opening on the valve body to open or close. It is widely used in oil field excavation, transportation and scouring equipment, such valves are also required in portable asphalt mixing plants.

The plug of the plug valve in the mobile asphalt mixing plant may be cylindrical or conical in shape, and in the cylindrical plug, the passage is generally rectangular; and in the tapered plug, the passage is trapezoidal. These shapes make the structure of the plug valve light and are well suited for use as a blocking and closing medium as well as for shunting.

Since the movement between the sealing surfaces of the plug valve has a scrubbing effect, and the touch with the movable medium can be completely avoided when fully opened, it can generally also be used for a medium with suspended particles. In addition, another important feature of the plug valve is that it is easy to get used to the multi-channel structure, so that one valve can achieve two, three, or even four different flow paths, which simplifies the piping system and reduces the valve usage. Because the plug valve of asphalt mixing station is quick and easy to open and close, it is suitable for frequent operation, and it also shows small fluid resistance, simple structure, relatively small volume, light weight, easy maintenance, good sealing performance and no oscillation, small noise and other advantages.
