Concrete batching plant design refers to the structure of a concrete batching plant. Generally speaking, a concrete batching plant consists of storage bins, ingredient batching mechanism, lifting mechanism, concrete mixer and control system.
Storage Bins
Storage bins are usually regarded as the first step of concrete batching plant design, for they are used to store materials such as sand, stone, cement and water. The materials available for storage in concrete are basically the same. The aggregate is stacked in the open air (the closed silo for large-scale commercial concrete mixing plants in the city), the powder in a fully enclosed steel structure silo and the admixture in a steel structural container.
Ingredient Batching Mechanism
According to a certain proportion, the materials such as sand and gravel are mainly composed of various scales, and the flow metering equipment by volume is also used. The batching mechanism is a key component that affects the quality of concrete and the cost of concrete production. It is mainly divided into three parts: aggregate weighing, powder weighing and liquid weighing. Aggregate weighing accuracy is ±2%, and the weighing accuracy of cement, powder, water and admixtures is ±1%.
Lifting Mechanism
The lifting mechanism in concrete batching plant design is mainly used to raise sand and gravel aggregate. there are two ways: hopper conveying and belt conveying. Belt conveyor is mainly suitable for concrete plants with aggregate storage bins, which increases the productivity of the mixing plant. In addition, the powder and liquid materials also need to be transported. The former is conveyed by a screw conveyor, or mainly by water and liquid admixture, which are respectively transported by a water pump.

Compulsory mixers are the mainstream mixers used in mixing stations at home and abroad. It has the best comprehensive performance and can mix various concrete such as fluidity, semi-dryness and dryness.
Control System
The control system crucial in a concrete batching plant design, it controls the coordination of each part and completes a certain production process. According to the different requirements of users and the size of the mixing station, there are different functions and preparations. Generally, the control system of the small concrete plants is simple, and that for larger plants is relatively complicated.
