Semi automatic concrete batching plant

A semi automatic concrete batching plant differs from a fully automatic plant mainly in the control system. The prices and models are usually different, too.

As its name implies, a semi automatic concrete plant has a semi-automatic control system. This leads to more manual work in operation. With an automatic plant, you just need to set the operating mode in advance, and then press the start button. All devices and machines would go as expected. A semi-automatic plant must be operated in a more complicated way. You need to give instructions for each step. For example, you should press the feeding button for feeding, weighing button for material measurement and discharge button for outlet of ready mix concrete. Operation of the system entails more people, usually one person for each step.

The use of semi-automatic systems leads to two results: relatively low efficiency and low cost. Therefore, such a system is usually found in small concrete batching plants like HZS25, HZS35 and HZS50, the capacity of which ranging between 25m3 to 50m3 per hour. Plants of 60m3 and 70m3 can be equipped with semi-automatic systems, too. But mobile plants and stationary plants over 90m3 per hour are not suitable with the system, for it will influence the concrete production efficiency. Large plants are usually of commercial type or large-scale construction type. These purchasers usually have, and must have, sufficient budget for automatic plants, and a semi automatic concrete batching plant would not meet the requirement of high efficiency.

In addition to the control system, the configuration of a semi-automatic concrete batching plant is the same as that of other standard concrete plants. Although a semi automatic plant is cheaper, you need to choose based on your practical needs. Generally large plants can be equipped with both semi-automatic and full automatic systems.
