With rapid development in civil engineering all over the world, a trailer concrete mixer pump is becoming increasingly popular. As a construction machine, the pump helps to improve the concrete mixing and laying work efficiency greatly, liberating people from dull slow manual work. However, a pump machine is not like a person who understands you by language, you need to learn the rules to operate it. In particular, the safety rules of a concrete pump not only protect you but also reduces the failure rate. Being aware of the importance of safety is the first step of following the safety rules and reducing accidents. The safety rules for a mixer concrete pump trailer include rules before, during and after the pumping work.
Before having a mixer concrete pump trailer working formally, you should make sure that the ground surface where the pump is placed is solid, flat and clean without obstacles around or high voltage transmission lines. It’s forbidden to place a concrete mixer pump trailer along a slope area. A test pumping should be carried out first, during which you should inspect indicator lamps and instruments until you are sure there’s no problem.
During the work of a trailer concrete mixer pump, you should observe the pipeline, sealing coil, clamps and indicators. The pump should discharges uniform concrete of proper slumps. In case of pipe blockage, reverse pumping should be adopted. When the blockage cannot be eliminated after the pump is reversed several times, the pipe should be removed to remove the blockage when the pump pressure is relieved.
After the pumping work remaining concrete in the hopper, pipeline and pump drum should be cleaned thoroughly. When flushing the pipeline with compressed air, the intake valve should not be opened immediately. Only when the concrete is discharged smoothly, can the intake valve be opened to the maximum. It is strictly forbidden to stand within 10 meters in front of the outlet end of the pipeline, and use metal net baskets to collect the washed balls and sand particles that have been flushed out.
As long as we can follow the rules above in operating trailer concrete mixer pumps, the accidents caused by human factors can be minimized as much as possible. I hope everyone can work safely.
